Sunset Paddle: Monee Reservoir

Monee Reservoir • 27341 S Ridgeland Ave. MoneeIL  60449 Organized by Forest Preserve District of Will County

About this event

Description

Enjoy the peak of summer with an evening paddle led by interpretive naturalists at Monee Reservoir. As the sun goes down, we will experience nature’s transition from day to night. Then relax on land with a cozy fire and roast s’mores. All equipment, including personal flotation devices, is provided. The instructors are American Canoe Association certified. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet, and consider bringing sunscreen, sunglasses and a water bottle.

Previous kayaking experience is required, as this is a recreational program and not an instructional paddling program. The natural surface launch area is accessible by a paved trail from the parking lot.

Ages 10 and older. (Children must be accompanied by a registered adult).

If you have any questions, please call us at 815-722-9303.
