Description
Colored pencil is a versatile medium capable of rendering a variety of textures. In this class, you will learn how to create a softly textured poinsettia flower surrounded by feathery pine needles and a shiny ribbon. The instructor will demo the project step-by-step as students follow along. Your final artwork can be used as a design for a holiday card. All levels are welcome. The Zoom link and list of needed supplies will be provided to students before the class.
Supply list available at the front desk.?Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils (72 pencil set recommended) or equivalent artist’s quality colored pencils.?Prismacolor Colorless Blender?Pencil Sharpener (electric, battery-operated or manual)?Artists quality drawing paper, either pad or individual sheets, in size 8” by 10” or 9” by 12” in white or a light-toned grey or blue color. Recommended brands are:oLegion Stonehenge (pad in assorted colors)oStrathmore Artagain (pad in assorted tints)oCanson Mi-Teintes (pad in gray tones) *oArt Spectrum Colourfix Smooth (white, light grey or blue)oClairefontaine Pastelmat (white or light grey)*Please note that some papers have a smooth and rough side, especially Canson Mi-Teintes. Use the smooth side for colored pencils.
