This is a one night, 4-hour a hands-on course designed for aspiring jewelry makers. Learn the fundamentals of silversmithing in this hands-on course where you will be guided through the essentials of designing with metal, soldering with a torch, bezel setting a stone, sawing, filing, polishing and more! Whether you're a novice or looking to expand your creative skills, this class offers the perfect introduction to the world of silversmithing. By the end of the class, you'll have the skills to create your own stunning sterling silver jewelry with the confidence to continue your silversmithing journey. Students will have the choice to create either one ring or one pendant, which they can take home as a personalized keepsake of their silversmithing experience. During this course students will be provided with resources for where to buy tools, stones to set, bench setup along with tips and tricks that I learned during my silversmithing journey. All general silversmithing materials and tools will be provided for use in class — just bring your creativity! *The price might be scary, but we promise it's a steal! All materials are included, including the sterling silver, which is the bulk of the class fee. You also get to take home your very own piece of jewelry that YOU made! A great keepsake for yourself or a heartwarming gift for a loved one - either way, guaranteed to be a hit and wonderful talking piece. Note: Students are required to bring their own N95 face mask or face covering along with a notebook and pencil for making notes. N95 masks may be purchased at Harbor Freight for less than $2. All general materials are included in the cost of the class, including 12 grams of silver. Extra silver will be charged based on market value.
