About this event
6 wks Experience Level: Intermediate Learn how to design your own knitwear and crochet clothing based on color and yarn on hand. Let color and texture guide you in designing your own garments and surface patterns in knitting or crochet. The class will touch on aspects such as using scrap yarn, creating a color palette, and the intarsia technique. We will discuss ways to achieve free-flowing color patterns in a grid-locked medium as well as important garment design aspects such as drape and shape. Each week we will get together to develop our own designs with the intention of having a finished garment by the end of the class. Knowledge of basic knitting or crochet techniques required.
