Mashed Cauliflower
Try mashed cauliflower in place of mashed potatoes. Eating cruciferous veggies 2 to 3 times per week can maximize your body's detoxing potential, as well as reduce inflammation.

Ingredients
- 1 pound chopped cauliflower
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon chopped chives for garnish

Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 quart of water and cauliflower. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the cauliflower is tender. Turn off the heat and drain the cauliflower. Add the cauliflower back into the warm saucepan and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes to dry cauliflower.
2. Place cauliflower into mixing bowl and add the remaining ingredients, except for the chives. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer until fluffy.
3. Garnish the mash with chives and serve.

Orangey Cranberry Glaze

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup orange zest
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
1. In a saut? pan, cook the cranberries, brown sugar, orange juice and orange zest for 10 minutes over medium-low heat. Stir in the salt, pepper, ginger and cinnamon.
2. Take a potato masher and gently break open half of the cranberries. If you like a thinner sauce, puree the sauce in blender until smooth.
3. Serve on top of protein, vegetables or even salad.
