Thanks for visiting. I am raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as a participant in their Light The Night Walk. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a near and dear cause to me, I have lost my dad due to Leukemia in 1995. In 2007 I was awarded a top fundraiser award and would like to do that again this year with your support.
I am hoping that with this fundraiser I can help prevent many other families and children from going through what I went through.
The Society funds lifesaving research that has contributed to major advances in treatment; such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants. But more research is critically needed:
Every five minutes someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every ten minutes, someone dies.
Leukemia causes more deaths among children than any other cancer
More than 20,000 Americans died from lymphoma in 2006
