Welcome to the Corazon
de Vida (CDV) Team Fundraising Page!
We are
thrilled that your group has found a place in your heart to join our efforts
& provide the much-needed financial aide for the CDV kids. Funds collected allow CDV to continue
providing food, clean water, and a safe home for over 700 children each month. This webpage will help your group
create a team page to fundraise for Corazon de Vida and the homes we
support.
In 2008, we anticipate bringing over 3,000 volunteers South of the
border to visit the many children who call a CDV-funded orphanage
"home". Over half of
these volunteers will be joining us from various community groups and each
participant will be asked to support CDV by donating or fundraising at least
$62.50 (the cost to sponsor a child for one month) in addition to their bus
fee, thus keeping all efforts focused on our cause. All of these donations will contribute to our 2008 overall
team fundraising goal of $62,500. If a thousand people (just one third of the
volunteers that will make a trip in 2008) donate $62.50 we will easily reach
this goal and in perspective will have provided for every CDV child for well
over a month. Create a team page

Creating your Team Pledge Page made simple:

Click on the
link at the top of the page that says "Become a Fundraiser"
and you will have the option of creating a new team page or joining an
existing team.

If you click
"Create a fundraising team" - this will direct you to a guided
template where you can customize the look of your site and what information
your visitors will see when they click to it. *Be sure to select that you would like to make a team
fundraiser. This will allow
others to join your team/group and fundraise as a team. Donations are tracked
and credited to both the individual and team accounts.

On the
bottom of each team page, it will automatically include some general
information about the Corazon de Vida mission, our non profit status, and
contact information. However, making this page your own will ultimately drive
the success of your campaign.
Your welcome message should briefly explain why your group is raising
money, why the CDV cause is significant to you, etc. You can also include personal
experiences and encourage others to give.

Change the
layout and colors of your page under the "customize webpage" tab.
You can even add pictures!
o
Send an
email inviting your personal contacts to donate.
o
Use the
"Track Offline Donations" feature to record cash/check donations
that count towards yoru goal.
*Checks can be made out to Corazon de Vida and mailed to the Irvine
office (address below). We will send a thank you and receipt.
