Cycling to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page. As many of you know, I have been affiliated with Team in Training as a participant, mentor, ride support, and coach. I am wanting to cycle in the Tour of the California Alps, aka. DeathRide as a fundraising participant. I am tired of my friends being diagnosed with cancer. When I first started with the program in 2000, research was being done on the drug Gleevec. Since that time, this drug has enabled many to live with good prognosis. Each of us can make a difference. I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers and cancer in all forms. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! To my friends who are my inspiration, I will be cycling in your honor.
