Kids Craft Idea: Macaroni Lion

Roar! This fun and simple craft requires just a few household items and three steps to make a little lion friend. Click through the slideshow to see how. This craft is appropriate for all ages.

Supplies

You will need:

-Spiral macaroni (or Rotini)
-A paper plate
-Paint
-Paint brush
-Glue
-Sharpie
-Googly eyes

Paint the back of your paper plate the color you've chosen for the lion's fur. We went with a dark beige, but colorful lions are a fun option, too!

Once the paint is dry, you're ready for step two. Glue your pasta in a circle around the outside of the plate to create the lion's mane.

Glue the googly eyes to your lion to bring him to life. Uncap your Sharpie and draw a smile and some whiskers. Ask your child if he or she can think of other creatures to create using the same supplies to really get the creative juices flowing.
