  • Scissors
  • Seeds of your choice
  • Dirt
Step 1

Choose a simple seed packet for your project. A great resource to find seeds for your area is ufseeds.com.
Step 2

Cut out individual egg cups and fill each with soil. Following the instructions on the seed packet, bury your seed in the dirt and pack it in with the defined amount of water.
Step 3

Set your egg cup in a safe place, away from family pets and potential hazards. Be sure to place it in a place that receives some sun if your seed packet calls for a sunny environment.
Step 4

Each morning, check on your seed! Don't be discouraged if it takes a couple days to see the sprout – seeds grow slowly.
Step 5

When growth begins, venture outdoors to find a safe place to plant your egg cup. Dig a small, egg cup-sized hole and carefully plant your it into the ground. There is no need to go back for the egg cup; pressed paper and cardboard are biodegradable.

Keep watering! Don't forget to keep loving your little seed after it's planted.
