Add a touch of nature to your child's next art project. For a simple custom stamp, all you need are flowers and ink. This project is perfect for children of all ages. Parents, be sure to let your kids know that flower stamps should only be used on paper, not walls.
Supplies
1 of 5
You will need:
- Flowers collected from outdoors (Note: firmer, sturdier flowers work best.) - Paper - Inkpad (any color will do)
After you've collected your flowers, choose which one should be your first stamp. Gently press the head of the flower onto the inkpad. Be sure to cover the entirety of the head.
Press the inked flower onto your paper. For flowers with uneven petals, you may need to roll the flower slightly to make sure all parts of the inked portion reach the paper. Voila! You have your own stamp.
Experiment with different types of flowers and different colors of ink. You may choose to make a stamped card for a friend or a piece of art to hang in your room.
