Depending on your event, you could start anywhere from Manhattan Beach down to Venice Beach. All swimmers finish in historic Venice Beach. At $25 an entry, there's no reason not to accept the challenge.
Mighty Merrimack Swim Race
Lowell, Massachusetts — September, 2, 2012 6 of 7Come out for this family-friendly event. Spectators can watch the entire one-mile race and most of the two-mile race from the shores of the Merrimack River. Babysitting services are also available with an advance reservation for children 3 and up.
