About This Activity
Players will participate in a variety of activities to develop fundamental skills and understanding of Badminton. Offensively, they will learn the skill and strategy of serving, the multitude of return shots such as a lob shot or drive shot, finishing a point with a spike or touch shot, hitting the birdie to space, and reading the opponent to plan the next shot. Defensively, they will learn about anticipating future shots, covering space, and using reaction speed for tough returns. The point system, rules, and boundaries for both Singles and Doubles will be taught. Players will engage in a variety of skill drills and game-like activities to maximize learning.
