Description
This museum is housed in a contemporary 53,000 square foot supermarine building. The extensive displays of aircraft and aviation memorabilia are on three levels, and there are over forty displays of planes, from propeller to jet powered. Every era of flight is represented here from World War I and II, as well as some airplanes used in movies. If you are interested in history through flight, you will enjoy learning from the Kitty Hawk to the Stealth Bomber here at the museum. After our tour, we will be having tea at the Old Kings Head Pub. Meal is not included in price of excursion. You will be walking or standing the majority of the excursion and the excursion is handicapped accessible. Transportation will be the on the City shuttle. Arrive at the Recreation Center 30 minutes before shuttle departs for check in. Shuttle departs at 9:00am. REFUNDS/TRANSFERS/CREDITS GRANTED ONLY IF YOUR SPOT CAN BE FILLED. 2024 Senior Membership is required for this activity.
