Instructor: Brenda Taylor is a lifetime resident of Aiken, SC, and a 1970 graduate of Aiken High School. Brenda has been a business owner and registered cosmetologist in Aiken for 50 years and is now semi-retired. She is an active lifetime member and past president of CSRA Shag Club Aiken-Augusta areas. She is a line dance and Carolina shag instructor. She has been a member of SOS in North Myrtle Beach, SC, for over 30 years. She has taught line dance classes through the years at USC Aiken, Hotel Aiken, Aiken Shrine Club, SOS 7-day cruises, Palmetto Shag Club in Columbia, SC, and TBs Shack on the Water, Lake Murray, SC. Description: Lessons will begin with basic steps, broken down and taught slowly for beginners, and progress to more intermediate dances. A new dance will be taught each week, and dances learned in previous weeks will be reviewed. Line dancing is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows without regard for partnering, all executing the steps at the same time. Line dancing provides good exercise for the heart and brain as well as a wonderful way to meet new friends. Come out and join the fun!
