Instructor: Dr. Larry Deschaine works internationally as a complex adaptive systems simulation and optimization expert. He has four university degrees (MIT ‘84, UCONN ‘92, Chalmers (Sweden) ‘14, and St. Leo ‘16) in the fields of engineering, science and theology. He earned Grand Prize distinction from the 2017 American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists competition. Description: This class is for lifelong learners eager to delve into this practical, cutting-edge technology. Attendees will explore foundational AI concepts and contemporary tools, such as ChatGPT, through a blend of valuable applications. With a focus on real-world examples and case studies, attendees can expect to develop an understanding of AI’s societal implications, ethical considerations, and potential impact on various industries. By the end of the course, attendees will gain proficiency in leveraging AI tools and techniques to apply to real-life activities, make informed decisions, and contribute meaningfully to the ongoing AI discourse.
