Description
The City of Alpharetta, City of Roswell, and Fulton County will be hosting a water testing workshop on April 30th! Become a certified Georgia Adopt-A-Stream water monitoring volunteer! This workshop will cover both Bacterial and Chemical monitoring. At the end of this workshop, with the completion of a written test, volunteers will be certified to perform Chemical and Bacterial testing for one year. Bacterial Monitoring: Bacterial monitors test for the presence of E. Coli in the water. Chemical monitoring: Chemical monitors test the water's temperature, pH level, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen level. A written quiz must be passed to complete certification. Once certified, you can adopt sites convenient for you to monitor monthly. Please bring a notebook, pen, water, and prepare to be outside. This workshop is free, but registration is required. Visit adoptastream.georgia.gov for more information on volunteer monitoring.
