Description
Grades 8th - Adult. Experience the captivating rhythm of Appalachian clogging, a cherished form of percussive dance stemming from a fusion of European, African, and Indigenous influences in the heart of Appalachia. The fundamental shuffle step, reminiscent of both tap and Irish dance, serves as the cornerstone of this art form. No prior dance experience is necessary to join this enriching class. It is recommended to wear tap shoes or leather soled shoes. Clogging is a fun workout for your mind and body. Instructor: Emily Evans. 9 classes. No class 2/16.
In order to keep dirt and debris at a minimum, shoes worn outdoors are not allowed on the dance room floor. Please change into whatever (indoor-only) footwear is appropriate for your activity.
