About this event

Description

Grade: 10th - Adult. Versatile, fast-drying, bright and fun, acrylic paints are easy to use and suitable for a variety of painting projects from landscapes to abstractions. Although all skill levels are welcome, this is a fast paced moving class, beginners may need to spend extra time in between classes practicing the exercises and activities provided by the instructor. The Instructor, Mary Thiefels, educator with Rec & Ed for nearly 20 years and founder of TreeTown Murals, will guide the class into making successful works of art through one on one in person instruction plus in depth virtual class demonstrations. The virtual classes will provide an explanation of all materials, advanced color theory practices, color mixing, brush handling techniques, tricks, collage and mixed media. Class will meet in-person on Tuesdays, 1/14, 1/28, 2/11, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18 (6 classes), 6-9pm where you will have open studio time to paint while getting personal feedback and guidance from Mary. On alternate weeks, the class meets on Zoom on Tuesdays 1/21, 2/4, 2/25, 6-8pm (3 classes) where Mary will do her live painting lessons and introduce class projects During these classes you will be invited to paint along to practice your techniques. Come join the fun!! See receipt and online notes for a basic first day supply list. 9 classes. No class 2/18.
