NOTE: Correct workshop dates are July 14 and 21. Learn to spin your own yarn! When you spin your own yarn, you will design your own yarn for the finished project, right from the beginning to the end. You will be able to create unique yarn, create yarn you otherwise cannot find to buy, and play with colors of your yarn. In this 2-day class you will study fiber preparation for spinning, drafting of fibers, spin on a hand spindle and spinning wheel, ply and finish your yarn. We also talk about how to wash and store your yarn safely. Students who bring their own spinning wheels should make sure they are in good working condition prior to class. Beginners are welcome. Supply fee is $25 (roving for practice, handouts and hand spindle to keep).
