About this event

The Karen P. Nakon Breast Cancer Foundation’s 21st annual family-friendly 5k run/walk “The Turkey Dash” will be held on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 28th at 9:00 am at Avon High School in Avon, Ohio.

Over 1500 runners, walkers and spectators join together to move in support of breast cancer patients right here in Northeast Ohio.

Register by November 1, 2024 for early bird pricing. Pumpkin pie, coffee, hot chocolate, water and fruit are available at the finish line for all participants.

Awards are given to top three male and female finishers along with medals for top three finishers in each age bracket (9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24,… 75-79, 80+.)

The annual Turkey Dash is a great family-friendly tradition to give thanks for your own health and support the health of others; and you are home in plenty of time to baste the turkey!

Over the last 20 years, the Turkey Dash has raised over $500,000 for families in Northern Ohio impacted financially by a breast cancer diagnosis.
