Description: The nonprofit Conroy Center is South Carolina’s first affiliate of the American Writers Museum and the second American Library Association United for Libraries Literary Landmark. It was voted Favorite Local Museum in the 2019 Eat Stay Play Beaufort “Best of Beaufort” Awards. At the Conroy Center, you can see artifacts from Pat’s life, including his writing desk and chair, the Great Santini’s flight jacket, and the handwritten prologue to The Prince of Tides.
