This for credit course will explore various high school health topics, such as exercise science, healthy eating, communication strategies, stress management, careers in healthcare, personal hygiene, epidemiology, public health disaster preparedness and violence prevention. Students will learn about these topics on a local and global scale through discussions and exercises in the classroom and real-life applications. Students must inform the teacher in advance before missing any class. Students may miss no more than 5 days if enrolled in any for-credit course. Students may not miss any days during the first or last week of any for-credit course. If this policy is not adhered to, students will not be awarded credit for the course. For-credit courses are excluded from the early registration discount.
