Monotype, also known as the painterly print, allows the artist to draw, paint or work their images directly and is one of the most expressive and freeing among printmaking techniques. Whether you are new to printmaking or have worked in the medium before, this class offers a wonderful opportunity to create fun and unique images while learning a new medium. For those more experienced with painting and graphic design, monotype can also offer a fresh, fun and unique perspective on painting and two dimensional design. The results can be surprising, subtle, dramatic and painterly - all depending on how you work with this adaptable and exciting method of image making!
