About this event
Take a 2-day Watercolor Workshop with Montana's own Loren Kovich! This class is open to students ages 11 and up and has a maximum enrollment of 16. All materials and equipment are provided but participants are invited to use their own tools if desired. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes. Loren's Bio: Loren is a native Montanan who lives in Helena. He has been painting full time for over 40 years. He taught art in Glasgow and Billings high schools and junior high for eight years before pursuing a full time painting career. He has traveled across the U.S. doing art shows and festivals his entire career. Loren has won many awards for his paintings in juried shows including; the national watercolor society in Los Angeles, the Transparent Watercolor Society in Wisconsin, the Adirondacks National Exhibition in New York, and numerous awards in the Montana Watercolor Societies National juried show. He has had paintings published in eight books on painting including “The Best of Watercolors” and "The Best of Acrylics.” He has achieved signature membership in the Montana Watercolor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and the American Watercolor Society. He continues to teach workshops and paints the effects of light on Montana's wildlife and landscapes from his studio in Helena.
