Description
This class explores the transformative power of the arts on the brain and body, as discussed in Your Brain on Art: How the Arts Transform Us, by Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross.
Through readings, discussions, and experiential activities, guided by instructor and guest artists, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how engagement with the arts fosters well-being, mental health, creativity, and community togetherness. The course will culminate in a field trip to the Norton Museum of Art.
The class will be a fun, interesting and relaxing way to spend your evening!
A note about the instructor: Our instructor, Ms. Adelayde A. Wojtowicz, has been a docent at the Norton Museum of Art for the past three years and has given workshops at the Norton Museum for teachers on this topic.
