Please note the following for this season of Tai Chi:- Tai Chi will be happening at the Colin Ruloff Field House at Island Pacific School.
- There are no bathroom facilities at this location.
- The session is 90 minutes, NOT the previous 120 minutes.
- Sunday service at Cates Hill Chapel happens at the same time and day as Tai Chi. Parking may be limited.
- The Carter Rd bridge will be under maintenance (Must use the other road that goes up from the gas station)
Tai Chi was originally developed for self-defence as an ancient Chinese tradition that has evolved into a graceful form of low-impact exercise. Tai Chi helps to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Tai Chi improves aerobic capacity, energy, flexibility, balance, and muscle strength. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. With minimal stress on muscles and joints, Tai Chi is perfect for all ages and levels of fitness.
Join Set Leader, Ian Davidson through a noncompetitive, self-paced system of gentle physical exercise and stretching, accompanied by deep breathing.
Although Tai Chi has many health benefits, please speak with your Set Leader if you are pregnant or suffering from any physical issues such as joint problems, back pain, fractures, severe osteoporosis, or a hernia.
When learned correctly and performed regularly, Tai Chi can be a positive part of an overall approach to improving your health.
Drop-ins (ages 15+) are welcome! Payment by cash or credit card on file.
Drop-in fee: $7
Please note that the activity fee displayed is the full cost of the program. If you register after the start of classes, the amount you pay will be prorated based on the number of remaining classes.
