Dates: Jan 18, 19 Instructor: Kira Silver Learn how to weave cloth on a floor loom! In this 12 hour course, students will learn the principles of hand-weaving on a 4 harness floor loom, including how to wind your own warp, dress the loom, and explore basic weave structures— plain weave, basket weave, ribs and twills. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. Weekend Intensive students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
