About this event
DATES: Jul 13, 14 Instructor: Elaine Shen In this class, students will learn the basics of machine knitting on their own individual Brother 860 standard gauge knitting machine. This class will start with the basics of understanding the machine, yarn selection, and tensioning. After that students will move on to cast on and cast off processes, how to increase and decrease, punchcard designing, basic shaping techniques and garment finishing. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. Weekend Intensive students have access to Open Studio time for free during the class and for up to a week after the class to put their new knowledge to practice.
