Description
Adult Trail Trekkers are adventuring offsite today during leaf peeper season to explore Hanging Rock State Park located 2 hours northeast from McDowell in Stokes County just past Winston Salem. This hike is a moderate hike with steep and rocky terrain with about 4.5-5 miles of trails for the day. We will explore the stunning mountain top views and the reflection of the fall color off this beautiful lake. Transporation, a snack, and a naturalist guide are included. Pre-registration required.Participants must be able to hike 5 miles on uneven terrain. Bring a bag lunch and plenty of water. Dress for the weather in near Burke County, NC. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen.
This hike qualifies for our 100-mile hike club. Come prepared to hike on uneven terrain. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Please bring your own water bottle.
