The Rural Water Supply program educates students through classroom instruction as well as hands on practical evolutions. The classroom instruction and props are designed to prepare the firefighter for Rural Water Supply operations. Basic Pump Ops is a course designed for new operators with emphasis on hands-on operation of pumpers at draft and from hydrants, and relay operations. Pre-requisites: 18 years of age Required Equipment: Structural Helmet / gloves / steel toe boots Full Schedule: 8am- 5pm 4/12/2025 4/13/2025 **Payment for this session is not applicable for Albemarle Count Fire Rescue affiliated volunteers or career staff. Reach out to the Training Officer at your station for a discount code.**
