Welcome back Bitty Bird Watchers! We had so much fun last summer at Graves Island we just had to go back. Our REC leaders love to play games on the grass, make crafts under the shelter and smell the salt in the air. Get ready for a refreshing summer with new games to play and new crafts to build!Programs will run rain or shine, so dress appropriately for the weather. Bringing water, sunscreen, and a snack is recommended. We will not be providing lunch, but participants are welcome to bring one!
New To Nature | July 10 This program is made for our friends who are new to nature! Take your first steps in becoming the best little hikers and explorers. We’ll be showing you the coolest trees that Graves has to offer. It will be a great day for our new nature lovers!
Sea-Like Sorcery | July 17 The ocean is magical and mysterious at this location, so we need some young magical experts! Come show off your imagination skills and connection to the magical realms. All we ask is that you don’t turn our REC leaders into frogs!
Teeny Task Force | July 24 Did you know ants are super strong and work as a teeny task force? The smallest of beings can do some of the greatest things! Which is why this week we want to create our own teeny task force of superhero kids to show us how to have fun and be kind!
Puny Pumpkins | July 31 Jump into the future with us to celebrate Halloween early this year! We want to make some of the coolest and spookiest crafts, and also play some of the most fun games. Make sure you come in your best dressed costume, and don’t forget to scream!
Mini Mallards | August 7 Graves Island is home to so many birds, and we want to learn all about them with you! On our walk around the island, we’ll try and make friends with lots of different animals. Maybe we’ll even practice a duck call or two!
Compact Constructors | August 14 Fun fact, little kids are the best fairy home builders! Little hands, a kind heart, and a brain full of imagination gets the job done. So, we hope to see compact constructors this week to help the fairy forest!
Big Winners with Mini Medals | August 21 Win big this week by playing the best games from the summer! It’ll be a great day with great people to celebrate the summer coming to an end. Show us all of the skills you’ve learned; we hope to see you again next year!
