Have your little ones join the summer REC staff on Friday mornings at Lordly Park! This location is a perfect learning environment; the playground to build coordination, and the forest to grow your imagination. Check out our weekly themes below, there’s lots to learn about magic, animals and superheroes!Programs will run rain or shine, so dress appropriately for the weather. Bringing water, sunscreen, and a snack is recommended. We will not be providing lunch, but participants are welcome to bring one!
Little Nature Lovers | July 5 It’s so important to learn about the nature around us, even at a young age. This week our summer staff will take our little nature lovers on an adventure of a lifetime. We will learn about the trees at the park, little worms and maybe see a bird or two!
Miniscule Magic Show | July 12 At the REC, we know that magic is real and kids are the best conductors of magic! We want to help you hone in on your expertise. Practice potion making and casting spells all day!
Half Sized Heros | July 19 Everyone needs a superhero in their life, so why not become your own? This week we will be exploring all things super: super speed, super smarts, super kindness and even super friendship!
Small Scale Skeletons | July 26Our summer staff would like to share their spooky craft skills and scaryily fun games! Come in your best costume for this Halloween themed week. We’ll be loving everything to do with pumpkins and bats!
Tiny Tigers | August 2 We want to hear you ROAR with excitement for animal week! We’d love to learn all about your favourite animals and even talk about some unique ones. This will be a fun-filled day with lots of crafts and animal games to expand your wildlife knowledge!
Budding Builders | August 9 Just because you’re little doesn’t mean your ideas are. This week our summer staff want to help our budding builders create their own masterpiece! Get excited for a new generation of little Einstein’s to enter to engineering field!
Petite Prize Winners | August 16After 7 weeks of fun and games, come show your skills and what you’ve learned. We’ll have an end of summer camp celebration by playing all of your favourite games. Everyone coming to this camp is a winner because you get to play one last time with your summer REC leaders!
