Description
General Objective
Students will be able to understand the gist of a conversation on everyday matters at a normal speed of delivery. They will also be able to express opinions using simple linguistic structures.Specific Objective• Listening: By the time they have finished this level, students should be able understand pieces of information on personal experiences, and facts and events of everyday life. They will be able to understand explicit opinions. They will also be able to understand telephone conversations and extract the main information from mass media excerpts, providing it does require prior knowledge of cultural aspects.
• Speaking: To maintain a conversation with simple grammar structures. To be able to give opinions using adequate communicative strategies.
• Reading: Understand the main ideas in literary and press texts (informative, descriptive or narrative) and be able to infer some lexical and grammatical aspects not implied in the context.
• Writing: Produce moderately long texts, using the most frequently used connectors to mark clearly relationships between ideas, subordination and coordination with the appropriate tone and contents.
