50+ Pickleball Drop-In Play
Howard County Recreation and Parks 7120 Oakland Mills Rd Columbia, MD 21046 Organized by Howard County GovernmentAbout this event
Description
Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a whiffle ball, with 26-40 round holes, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports: the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications. Bring your own paddle and balls. Teams rotate play during this two-hour session. Info: Scott A. Ripley 410-313-7281 or sripley@howardcountymd.gov.
