About this event

Description

This class is for any artist, beginner thru advanced, wishing to learn watercolor painting. Materials List to bring:

  • Jars, cups or a small artist's water bucket for cleaning brushes.
  • Paper towels are on hand but feel free to bring rags for drying brushes
  • Pencil for drawing-H or 2H
  • Brushes- 1" flat, 1/4' flat, 12 round and 4 round, whatever else you like
  • Plastic watercolor palette with dried pans or tubed paint-I strongly suggest "professional" or "artist's" grade paint. The Cotman series from Winsor Newton works as well. • Phthalo Blue
  • Ultramarine Blue
  • Hansa or Lemon Yellow
  • Cadmium Yellow
Optional Materials:
  • sponges, rags and salt for textures
  • water color pencils or colored pencils
  • masking tape
  • spray bottle
  • white gouache
