Description
Learn sewing and repair basics while making a keepsake and sewing kit. From threading a needle and hand-sewing a seam to adding embellishments and buttons, we will make a throw pillow or small bag to learn and perfect the basic skills needed for hand sewing and repair. If possible, bring an older or outgrown personal item (like a T-shirt or blanket) to transform into something that is meaningful for you. Sewing materials and supplies will be provided.
in class.A sewing machine is not required, but students are encouraged to bring their own if they have one, beginning with the second class on 1/23/25. A few machines are available at the center for shared use during class.
