Kathak is one of eight classical dance forms in India that focuses on body alignment and movement theory. Learn the history, body positioning, balance and basic hand gestures. You will be introduced to foundational footwork patterns that develop gradually into Kathak pirouettes, along with eye movements. Students will perform in the year-end dance recital in June.

| Students should dress for movement. Long scarf or Kathak bells are welcome but are not mandatory. Please bring a notebook and pen/pencil to each class. |
