Description
For beginners and those looking to revisit the fundamentals of ceramics. Gain an understanding of working with clay to build skills and confidence on the wheel. Learn to prepare clay and basic handbuilding techniques, and be introduced to the wheel, finishing and glazing. For the first class, new students should purchase a bag of M-340 clay and a pottery tool kit from Place des Arts’ Registration Desk. Other clay options and supplies will be discussed in class. Firing and open studio time is included. Open Studio access is limited and students are required to sign-up for studio time in advance.
