A furniture transformation FUNdraiser.Our upscale, recycle event is like none other! This isn't just an event to update furniture, but rather a team competition to repurpose furniture and raise funds for the good of our community. We have teamed up with Houses into Homes to repurpose furniture into a self-declared decorator's dream and have a lot of fun in the process. Teams can bring in their own three pieces for a room or can pick furniture out from a selection at the Houses into Homes warehouse.Additional information is available on our website at www.coralville.org/upcyclethrowdown. Begin to look for inspiration and start planning for your next creation for a great cause. Proceeds from the sale on Saturday, May 3 will support Houses into Homes Comforts of Home program and the Coralville Parks & Recreation Scholarship Fund to provide free swim lessons, youth sports opportunities and other skill building classes for youth.
Furniture creation times will be between April 26 to May 2 as written in Team Rules found on the website. Teams may choose to keep their creations after judging or donate the room to the furniture sale. The sale is Saturday, May 3, from 9:00 a.m. – Noon as part of Coralville’s City Wide Garage Sale.
