REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON FRIDAY, NOV 1Have you been wondering what is the fascination with fungi? Join us at Beazell Memorial Forest for an introductory exploration of our Pacific Northwest edible treasures. Spend some time in the education center engaging in mushroom activities. You'll also go out on the trails to identify different mushrooms. (Note: we will not be collecting mushrooms.) There will be a Kid Zone with activities for 12 and under.
Partners include Corvallis P&R Family, Camps and Outdoor Programs, Benton County Natural Areas and Parks, OSU Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, Corvallis Environmental Center and The Mushroomery.
This program is catered to beginners. We hope to expand to include intermediate and expert levels in the future.
There will be some merchandise available to purchase. Cash and checks preferable.
Since parking is limited at Beazell, please plan to arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your program start time and leave within 15 minutes of your program end time. The morning session is 9-11:30 am. The afternoon session is 1-3:30 pm.
Bring a water bottle (there is ability for refill onsite), layers (it gets cold out there!) and snacks as needed.
Children welcome. Ages 12 and under free.
There will be a $5 discount for additional family members. You'll need to register over the phone with P&R to get the family discount. 541-766-6918
