Description
Join us for an afternoon with Gerald Savage, Ho-Chunk Ska Ga his formal native name, oldest grandson of Chief Walks with the Wind. Gerald will share Native American Stories from long ago, and some tribal history and lore.
Gerald was born and raised in the traditions of the Ho-Chunk tribal ways. His family was reintroduced into Starved Rock State Park area since 1935.
Ho-Chunk Ska Ga will explain "Waika" and its timing and meaning, and the season and reason for storytelling. The stories are Ho-Chunk relevant to the area, including other tribal stories as well.
