Do you know who Homeland Security looks to when all other forms of communication fail? Amateur Radio (HAM) Operators, that's who!!
These are just a few of the things amateur radio operators do!! So why don't you join this unique group and become a HAM! Sure you can study on your own and take the test, but here you will get to talk with 4-6 different instructors with a combined 100+ years of Amateur Radio experience. There is no substitute for that knowledge.

The Culpeper Amateur Radio Association (CARA) in association with Culpeper County Parks and Recreation is proud to offer a 6-week course to help you earn your amateur radio Technician License.
The course will be presented at the Culpeper Field House every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6 to 8 starting January 30 and finishing with you taking the license exam by March 13
Please note: You will need to spend an additional 4 hours each week for study and practice. That’s only 44 hours of your time, just 8 hours a week for 6 weeks, to launch a hobby that will last a lifetime.
There is no age limit or requirement for earning an amateur radio license. Have you considered amateur radio as a family hobby? Financial assistance is available.
