Description
Fretboard Fundamentals (*New Class)
This is an Intermediate level class for guitarists who already play and can read music to some degree.
You will develop finger style techniques, vision of the fretboard (chords/scales), improvisation, practical theory, musicianship, and apply these skills to a variety of jazz, blues, classical, and rock tunes.
This class is perfect for the Intermediate player that is striving to improve their skills and widen their musical experience on the guitar.
*Students must bring their own acoustic guitar!
Instructor: Doug Cameron (Returning, after having taught many years precviously through the City of Daly)
Doug Cameron is a San Francisco based guitarist, composer, and music educator. He completed a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance and a Master of Music degree in music composition from San Francisco State University. He's taught music privately and in the classroom to hundreds of students at all levels and styles. Doug is an active composer for acoustic and electronic mediums, and has written for local and national artists, independent film/video, concert music, computer games, and theater.
