Period C:Autobiographical Writing Tell your story! Campers in this class will experiment with various modes of autobiographical writing. After spending time brainstorming their pasts for lively topics, campers will learn creative ways of conveying their experiences through narrative writing, poetry, and video. We all have stories to tell, and in this class we will learn how to unlock those experiences and relate them in entertaining ways! Chris McCulloch is a long-time Athenian middle school instructor (over 15 years) and has worn many hats/roles over his tenure here. He is currently the 6th grade writing teacher and a fan favorite of students! Period D: Cooking with Miguel This class is designed to teach cooking basics. Each day brings a new recipe. Students will have hands-on experience making homemade pasta and delicious desserts. Boys, don’t be afraid to get in the kitchen and create some delicious culinary delights. Students will bring home the recipes to practice at home. Instructor Miguel has been working in Athenian’s Kitchen for over 30 years and his “Cooking with Miguel” summer class is a long-standing favorite among campers and families who get to taste their class creations.
