Christmas Parade 2024
Theme: Dino-Soarin' Through Christmas
Registration: November 4 - December 9, 2024
Please be detailed and accurate when filling out the questions in regards to float size and vehicle size. Please note if there any changes to the number of vehicles or float size after you register, please email Delaney at dlehman@debary.org so we can allow enough room in the parade line up area.

PARADE ROUTE: The Parade route will proceed left from Spring Vista Drive on U.S. Highway 17-92 North and will end at Poinsettia Drive.
Detour route will be S. Shell Road
The Parade route is approximately 1.3 miles in length.
NO Santa's please! Santa and Mrs. Claus are already going to be there.
Any child under 10 years old MUST be on a float or in a vehicle.
Please review these important items with members of your group, including walkers. The following information will assist your group while participating in the City of Debary Christmas Parade. The theme is "Dino-Soarin' Through Christmas" 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded in each category based on theme, originality, and overall appearance. The parade will take place on Sunday, December 15th at 3:00 pm.
1. Please have your entire group at the line up on Spring Vista Dr. no later than 2:00 pm! We will begin the line up at 12:00 pm. Pass this information on to all of your participants.
2. It is very important to indicate ACCURATE dimensions for all aspects of your entry; this will allow staff to allocate enough space for all vehicles, floats and walkers in the line up area.
3. All walkers, drop off or otherwise, are asked to car pool and use the Spring Vista Commerce Center as their drop off location Please utilize 17-92 to Glen Forest Drive to Englenook Road to access this location.
4. All parade participants that have kids in the parade MUST have a roster on hand in case of emergency.
5. The minimum age for kids to walk to the parade is 10 years old. Anyone younger than 10 must be on a float. Please do not leave until all the children in your group have been picked up.
6. PARADE VEHICLES will only be permitted to enter Spring Vista Drive via S. Shell Road.
7. Please note 17-92 will close at 2:00 pm; however the entry to Spring Vista Road via 17-92 will be closed as early as 12:00 noon.
8. Judges Stand: The Judges Stage has moved this year. It is important for all parade entries to indicate their parade number to the judge's stand for judging purposes. The judges will be located at Mid Florida A/C at the corner of Smyrna Dr right before the stoplight at Colomba. The stage will be on the left side of 17/92. Group representatives will be contacted with their parade line up number by Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
9. Please DO NOT THROW candy. Handing out candy is OK.
10. To prevent gaps in the parade we ask that all parade entries be NO MORE than 10 feet behind the entry in front of them.
11. Please keep any performances for the judges to less than one minute for time purposes. The stage will be on the left side of the road near Colomba Rd.
12. Walkers can be picked up at the Winn Dixie parking lot at the conclusion of the parade. Walkers can use Legion Place Drive to safely cross Highbanks Road to the Winn Dixie parking lot.
13. Winners will be contacted by Monday, December 16th by staff; members of the winning groups will be asked to attend the City Council meeting scheduled for December 18, 2024 at 6:30pm to receive their trophy.
14. All parade vehicles must line-up in the area designated by staff; please be sure to have two wheels on the road, and two off the road. This will allow a space for emergency vehicles to pass down the middle in the event of an emergency.
15. No Santa costumes are allowed in the Parade. We will have Santa and Mrs. Claus riding on a fire truck at the end of the parade.
16. Band Members for each school will be designated a location for warm-up and preparation. Students are asked not to leave this area unless directed.
17. Alcohol Policy: No alcohol is allowed in the line-up area or on a float.
