About this event
5th and 6th grade students are invited to join Twindly Bridge Staff for a three day/2 night experience at the Denali Science School. Students will meet at 8:00 AM on 9/25 at Twindly, board a bus, and travel to Denali Park. We will return by bus at approximately 4:30 PM on 9/27. Cost of the trip is $85 and is a first come, first serve trip. Once there, students will learn about and experience the four primary habitats found in Denali – taiga, tundra, riparian, and rocky alpine. Through classroom and field-based activities, students will explore how these habitats are connected and impacted by change. • Use tools and scientific methods to understand the natural world. • Grapple with the National Park Service’s paradoxical mission of simultaneously protecting and providing access to protected lands and resources. Parents must send student with sleeping bags and gear. A checklist is attached to the flyer on our website. All students must be registered and have all required paperwork in our system to have their spot secured. Food is included in the fee. *This is a non-refundable Field Trip.
