10 sessions x 1 Hour Wednesday - March 5, 12, 19, 26 | April 2, 16, 23, 30 | May 7, 14 This program elicits students’ writing by blending hands-on STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) where students write about what they observe in class. Focused on interdisciplinary learning, students will explore exciting STEM concepts like chemical reactions using the balloon inflation experiment, flight mechanics through building paper airplanes, and motion physics through activities like straw rockets while developing critical thinking and writing skills. Each week, students in grades 1-5 will participate in interactive experiments and express their observations and hypotheses, blending English language arts with STEM learning to enhance conceptual understanding and personal expression. Our experienced and passionate teachers are committed to providing grade-level attention to ensure each student progresses at their own pace. By closely monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback, teachers help students overcome challenges and maximize their potential. The Innovative Writing Program not only lays the groundwork for academic growth but also inspires students to think creatively and express effectively in an ever-evolving world. Innovative Writing will empower your student to: ● Master the ability to express ideas clearly and effectively across descriptive, explanatory, and narrative styles. ● Gain a deeper understanding of STEM concepts and their real-world applications. ● Enhance step-by-step instructional learning with hands-on STEM activities into written works in sequence, scope, and chronology. Note: We love to keep parents updated on the class progress. We have established three key communication points: a teacher introduction to start the semester, a midpoint update featuring progress and activity photos, and a final email summarizing the semester’s achievements.
