Campers will immerse themselves in the world of graphic novels and the powerful ways stories can be told by combining images and text. We will read and dissect graphic novels, learn from graphic novel authors and illustrators, and explore digital tools to create our own graphic stories. We will also build and code games inspired by the world of graphic novels using Minecraft Education Edition with command blocks, redstone circuits, and MakeCode. No prior Minecraft experience needed. Bay Area educator & Minecraft enthusiast with over a decade of coding experience, Mia Gittlen, leads this 2025 dynamic Avis summer offering!
