TEAM REGISTRATION ONLY. Howard County Recreation & Parks is accepting team applications for the Alliance Division of the Youth Basketball League (YBL). The YBL brings boys & girls teams from the greater Howard County area for league play. Teams play eight regular season games, starting December 13, followed by a single-elimination tournament. You will receive a $25 discount for every additional team registered from you program/club, with at max of four teams. Howard County’s premier facilities are conveniently located off either Rt. 29, I-95, or I-70. The YBL provides certified officials, facility staff, league administration and website updates. Registration Deadline Friday, November 15th. YBL Coaches badges requirements and team rosters deadline Friday, December 2nd. Spots are limited so please register today! League Refund Policy: a 20% administrative fee is deducted for all refund requests more than four (4) weeks prior to league starting; a 50% refund if withdrawal requested more than two (2) weeks prior to league starting; no refunds are given less than two (2) weeks prior to the start of the league. No Play Date: 12/27/2024 and 1/3/2025.
All coaches and players must have rostered via the link below no later than Friday, December 1st. Coaches who have not completed the online roster process by 12/1 will not receive a YBL AllianceLeague ID badge for week 1 and therefore will not be permitted on the sideline to coach until that process is complete and they are on the certified roster. Any reports of coaches on the sideline who are not officially badged will result in disciplinary actions which may include forfeit(s) and potential loss of playoff participation privileges. As part of the online rostering process, all coaches will be required to submit the following: • Select Role ( Head Coach, Asst. Coach)• Select Program• Select Age Group(s) coaching• Provide all basic info (first name, last name, Phone #, D.O.B, etc.)• Provide a “headshot” photo for YBL Alliance League ID (NO HATS AND NO SUNGLASSES)• Electronically sign for the HCRP Coaches Code of Conduct
